You can use your Raspberry Pi to control Dorna. In this tutorial, I\’ll go over the basic steps to get you up and running with Raspberry Pi and Dorna.
Step 1: Plug in your Pi
Plug your Raspberry Pi into a power source and use a micro USB cable to plug your Pi into the Dorna controller box.
Step 2: SSH into your Pi
Step 3: Install the API on your Pi
Once you\’ve connected to your Raspberry Pi, you need to download the Dorna API. Check the latest release page for the most up-to-date version of the API. Download the compressed source code file ( for example
Source code.zip or
Source code.tar.gz). After downloading, decompress the file, go to the directory, and run:
python setup.py install
Step 4: Connect to Dorna
Once you\’ve installed the API, you\’re ready to start using Dorna. Start an instance of Python and get started. Import the module and create a Dorna object for interacting with the API:
from dorna import Dorna robot = Dorna()
For more information on the API and what to do next, you can refer to the Dorna Wiki.
