Temperature, mixing speed, and duration are configured in Dorna Workspace alongside every other step — no separate programming, no manual operation.


A Fully Automated Mixing & Incubation Station
Within a Dorna workflow, the Thermomixer Module operates as any other station — the robot moves to it, places the sample, and Dorna Workspace handles the rest. The mixing cycle runs at the configured temperature and speed, and when complete, Workspace triggers the robot to retrieve the sample and continue. Whether the step is a 30-second resuspension after pipetting or a 2-hour enzymatic incubation before inspection, it fits into the workflow like any other module — no separate timers, no manual checks, no interruptions.

Wide Format Compatibility
The Eppendorf ThermoMixer C uses interchangeable SmartBlocks to accommodate all common lab vessel formats — from 0.5ml microtubes to 50ml Falcon tubes, PCR plates, and deep well plates. When a workflow requires a different vessel format, the block swaps tool-free in seconds. Automatic block recognition ensures the correct parameters are applied without manual configuration. This flexibility means a single Thermomixer Module station can serve multiple protocol types on the same platform.

Precise Temperature & Mixing Control
Temperature is maintained to ±0.5°C accuracy across all block positions — critical for enzymatic reactions, protein assays, and other temperature-sensitive steps. The system heats up to 100°C at up to 6°C/min. Mixing speed ranges from 300 to 3,000 rpm, covering gentle agitation through vigorous resuspension. All parameters are set once in Dorna Workspace and execute automatically every cycle — consistent, repeatable, and logged.
