We Started with a Simple Belief.
Automation Should Be for Everyone.
Two engineers in Southern California, 2018. We set out to build compact, affordable automation — and ended up finding our biggest impact in the place that needed it most.

We Proved It Across Industries First
We proved our platform across industries before finding our focus in life sciences. Labs are where the stakes are highest — samples can't be mislabeled, reagents can't be contaminated — yet scientists were spending hours on tasks that required no expertise. Existing solutions were too expensive, too rigid, and took too long. We decided to build something different.

Hardware and Software, Built as One
We built the Dorna lab automation platform — a single environment that brings robot programming, AI integration, workflow scheduling, and simulation together under one program.
The hardware is designed and manufactured in-house in Southern California, engineered together with the software from the ground up. Tighter integration, faster deployment, and a price point that makes automation realistic for labs that were previously priced out.
Where Dorna Runs
Trusted by leading names in pharma, biotech, and life sciences research.

Every Hour We Give Back Matters
Behind every automation project is a scientist who'd rather be doing science. The hours we give back don't disappear — they go toward new therapies, faster diagnostics, cleaner water. That's the work that actually moves things forward.
We're a small team, by design. Close to the problem, close to our customers, and focused on one thing — making lab automation genuinely accessible for the labs that need it most.
