Plate Gripper
Pneumatic plate grippers for standard SBS plates — 96-well, 384-well, 1536-well, deepwell, PCR, and reservoirs. Adjustable air pressure delivers a tight, reliable grip strong enough to carry plates loaded with full tubes without slip.
Available in two geometries — Top for clearance from above and Side for tight enclosures — so the same workflow can move plates between open decks and sealed instruments without compromise.

See it in action

Top-down approach
Use the top gripper wherever you have vertical clearance — plate hotels, nest stacks, open instrument decks, magnetic separation stations. Two parallel fingers descend from above and clamp the long sides of the plate, holding it flat and level through fast moves so wells stay aligned and liquid stays put. Pneumatic force is set per move, so the same gripper handles a featherweight empty plate and a deepwell full of buffer with the same reliability.

Side approach for tight spaces
When a plate sits inside an incubator, plate reader, sealer, or shelf-style storage where the lid or surrounding hardware blocks any approach from above, the side gripper enters horizontally and clamps the short edges. Same air- powered actuation and adjustable force as the top gripper — the only difference is the geometry. Most labs run both side by side, swapping grippers as the workflow moves between open decks and sealed instruments.
