Liquid Handling

Syringe Pump

Precise, low-volume liquid handling for tasks that need high repeatability — small aliquots, serial dilutions, and accurate dispensing into tubes, vials, and plates.

Two modes of operation: the Dorna TA can carry the needle to each vessel, or it can bring each vessel to a fixed dispensing station. Different needle types and valve port configurations are available to match your application.

See it in action

Needle on the robot arm

The needle mounts directly on the Dorna TA. The robot carries it to any tube, vial, plate, or reservoir on the fixture plate, dispensing or aspirating in place. Best for workflows where dispensing destinations are scattered or vessel geometries vary — different tube heights, mixed labware, multiple reagent sources.

  • Full 6-axis reach to any vessel
  • Best for varied vessel geometries
  • Tool-free needle swap between applications

Fixed dispensing station

The needle and valving stay fixed at a dedicated station that lowers the needle for each cycle. The robot picks up tubes or containers from the fixture plate, brings them to the station, then returns them to their racks. Best when the needle setup is application-specific — multiple needles, complex valve configurations — or when throughput benefits from keeping dispensing geometry constant.

  • Stationary needle, robot delivers each tube
  • Suits multi-needle and complex valve setups
  • Constant dispensing geometry per cycle
