Key Benefits

Benefit Image
Air port connectors

Air port connectors

With two air port connections at the tool head, it is easy to connect and operate pneumatic tools like grippers and suction devices.

Absolute encoders

Absolute encoders

Dorna TA comes with an absolute encoder on each joint, providing high absolute position accuracy and eliminating the need for homing at startup.

Safety brakes

Safety brakes

A novel braking mechanism activates when the power is abruptly disconnected, preventing crashing and damaging robot or workspace.

Collision Detection

Collision Detection

With an adjustable collision detection, the robot can operate in enclosed area at higher speed or lower speed around human workers.

Rigid build

Rigid build

The rigid aluminum body along with reinforced joints make Dorna TA a reliable platform for demanding industrial applications.

Stronger motors

Stronger motors

With more powerful motors, the robot can now run at higher speeds and higher payloads.

Dorna Software and Control

Web-Based And Multi-Platform

Dorna Lab does not require any installation or special teach pendant and allows robot programming, simulation, and monitoring on any device with a web browser, such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Web-Based And Multi-Platform

Fast Deployment

Easily program the robot by freely moving the robot, touching the target points, and asking the robot to repeat the same task precisely, due to the robot's light body and back drivable joints.

Fast Deployment

Blockly programming

Dorna Lab offers an easy and intuitive graphical interface using Blockly. Drag and drop different code blocks and more complex logic to create a complete program for your Dorna robot with no specialized training or programming skills required.

Blockly programming

Rich Python Platform

Dorna Lab is equipped with Python for more advanced applications. Directly develop, host, and run your Python program inside the robot controller, and access it via Dorna Lab in any web browser.

Rich Python Platform

Dorna TA vision kit

Dorna TA includes a 3D vision kit and AI tools for rapid deployment of vision applications. The kit features a depth camera with global shutter and sub-millimeter accuracy, ideal for precise pick-and-place tasks. With our machine learning tools and OpenCV-based applications, you can create vision-guided workflows in Dorna Lab and run them at up to 50 fps using the included vision processor.

FAQs

The Dorna TA features absolute encoders on all joints, unlike the Dorna 2, which uses incremental encoders. This eliminates the need for a homing process at startup. Also absolute encoders on joints means greater positional accuracy, making the Dorna TA an ideal choice for vision-based applications. Additionally, the Dorna TA is equipped with more powerful motors and a reinforced, rigid body, allowing it to handle larger payloads at higher speeds. For added convenience, it includes air ports at the third joint, enabling easy integration of pneumatic tools. Moreover, all joints come with a braking mechanism to prevent the robot from crashing in case of a power outage, ensuring both the robot and workpiece remain safe.

Yes. The robots are in stock. We do the last stage of assembly and testing of the robots upon receiving the order. Depending on the number of robots in our order queue, we usually ship within one week of receiving the order.

Yes. The package includes the robot, controller, and all cabling required for connection and control of the arm. You will be able to write programs on any device with a web browser.

Dorna TA, can be mounted on a floor or from the ceiling.
